SFMOMA
Upon opening this blog, I was disappointed by the content on the front page. It seemed sorta random, sorta like a conversation in a hallway. Then, I read the 'about' page to find out that, that's exactly the point. Oh....OK, now I like it. I like the historical and geo-specific concept that is based on. Call me old fashioned.
IMA
The IMA blog had more concentrated parameters to work with. It was clean and airy enough for me to navigate through, without feeling overwhelmed. Photos and videos are definitely the new way to present information, and this blog does it well. Recent comments and tweets do a nice job of rounding out the archives and categories on the right side of the blog. I can appreciate the fact that a search for 'graffiti' turned up some interesting articles and resources. Good job.
Eye Level
Even though Eye Level is in blog form, the content just seemed boring to me. The pictures seemed stagnant; the illustrations, dated. Sorry Eye Level, but YOU ARE FIRED!

Cyberparenting
My wife and I got text messages today, when our daughter's grade average dropped below a setting that we chose. It applies to all her subjects. Yes, kinda creepy. Yes, pretty handy. We can address concerns before quarter grades are finalized.
Street art: dislike
Stencil art plays out as a sanitized relative of graffiti. It further reproduces the stigma associated with graff. Dislike.
Cyberparenting part II
My daughter's room was dirty. I took a picture of it and threatened to put it on facebook and tag her, if she didn't clean it right away. It worked :)

God knew I needed some good news right now!
Even if it's a complete hoax, I drooled at my fantasies of new possibilities!!!

Chicago Art Magazine
I would have something to say about this magazine, but I'm too busy crying after reading this & this.
No, seriously. This is a great resource for our city. I like all of the different kinds of categories, the changing imagery on the right column, the moving stories+images across the header...I find the article roll, at the bottom of the front page, just a tad too heavy though. I especially appreciate the criticism section. I think it's important to have a current pulse on where the value system is in art.
